Smoking

Kenways is 100 % no smoking, including e-cigarettes.  If you wish to smoke outside the building on the bench provided, please be considerate of other guests and our neighbours.


Pets

We may be able to accommodate well-behaved dogs in some of our rooms.  There is an additional £10 charge per room for the extra cleaning required.  Dogs are not allowed in the dining room and must not be left alone in the rooms except during breakfast.  Please contact us to discuss prior to booking.


Groups

We are not able to accommodate stag or hen dos.  If you are travelling as part of a group for a special occasion, please let us know in advance.  If you are booking for a large family group, please speak to us before booking so we can be sure we have the most suitable rooms for your needs available.


Parking

There is on street parking available in close proximity to Kenways.  On arrival, please pop in to collect a parking permit which is included for the duration of your stay.  If you require assistance with your luggage, please just ask.


Accessibility

There are 10 steps from the street to the front door with handrails on both sides.  

The dining room is located on that floor.

There are 16 steps to the first floor where three of our rooms are located and a further 14 steps to the second floor where four bedrooms are situated.  Both flights of stairs have handrails to both sides.

In keeping with the Edwardian building in which we are situated, our bedrooms and ensuite shower rooms are not large and therefore not suitable for those with mobility issues.

We are always on hand to assist our guests with any additional needs they may have.


Booking

Booking can be done online, via email or over the phone. 

The full payment is due on the day of your arrival and can be paid by debit/credit card or in cash.  We do not accept cheques. 


If you have any questions, wish to use our infant cot or have dietary requirements, please do contact us to make arrangements so we can make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible.


Check-In

Check in is flexible, just let us know when suits you. 


To alter your booking, please ring 01723 365757.


We do ask you to confirm an approximate time of arrival in advance of your stay to ensure that we are able to greet you and arrange for your parking permit to be handed over. 


Check-out is 10am on the morning of your departure.


Cancellations

If you need to amend or cancel your booking, please contact us as soon as possible.

If you cancel seven or more days prior to you arrival date, there will be no charge. 

Cancellations within seven days of arrival will incur the full cost of the stay.

Guests failing to arrive without advance notice will be liable for the full cost of the booking.

We advise all guests to take out travel insurance.


Non-availability

Should it become necessary for us to cancel a booking, we will contact our guests as soon as possible giving as much notice as we can.  Any payments will be refunded in full and we would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation.


Damage

Please take care with our accommodation, we take great pride in providing excellent facilities and high levels of cleanliness. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur.

You authorise us to charge you any costs we incur if you cause damage in our hotel including costs for specialist cleaning, repair and renewal, the cost of the room for any time period it is unusable and any other inconvenience caused. We may refuse to accept bookings from you in future. The Guesthouse also reserves the right to subsequently inform the relevant authorities who may act as they feel fit if it is suspected that a breach of legislation has occurred. 

A nominal charge of £100 will be levied for replacement front door and room keys should the need arise (the locks and all keys will need replacing!)

We reserve the right to terminate your Booking without refund and reserve the right to require you to leave the hotel immediately. 


Non-payment

If any due amount is not settled upon check out, an invoice for the amount will be issued and if this is not paid within 3 days of departure, the Guesthouse reserves the right to subsequently inform the relevant authorities who may act as they feel fit if it is suspected that a breach of legislation has occurred e.g. damage/theft of property, making off without payment. 


Gift Vouchers

Vouchers are sold with a date of purchase and are valid for twelve months from this date.  Please ensure you speak to us before using a voucher.


Liability

Kenways does not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury to you and any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions.


Data

Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.

(i) the privacy of its customers; and 

(ii) the confidentiality of the information provided to it by customers. 

Your personal details will not be sold on or passed on to third parties.
